Hi there! My name is Peri, and I’m Mocha’s mom. My partner Jackson and I got Mocha from a local rescue in 2023, and since then she has been the light of our lives. From the first moment I saw her, I knew she was meant for our family.

Unfortunately, it did not take long for Mocha to suffer a common injury for many active dogs. After a long day of play outside, Mocha partially tore her Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in both knees, causing her significant pain and requiring surgical repair to regain her normal mobility again. In conversation with our vet and surgical team, it was discovered that Mocha’s ligament tear is advanced and her tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) surgery is scheduled in the coming days.

This GoFundMe is in the hopes that we can ease some of the financial burden these diagnostic procedures/surgeries have cost us, all while managing student loan payments, groceries, and a rapidly changing economy.
