Hi everyone, my name is Genisus Acosta and I am writing to help my mom Michelle Acosta. As you know, the valley experienced a horrible flood just recently. As residents of cherry st ext, we suffered pretty hard. While we got the lesser end of the damage- we can still live in our home and it didn’t affect our first floor- we still suffered some expensive damages. One of our cars was totaled but insurance is covering that. Our basement and most of the things in it have to be replaced, but homeowners insurance is not helping. With that being said, I started this go fund me as an ask for help for my mom. My mom is one of the hardest working people I know, always putting others and her kids before herself. After this devastating flood that affected so many including us, we have to replace our furnace, water heater, dryer, wood lining the basement, our basement staircase and many of our belongings (furniture) because two of us lived down there. As much as she hates asking for help, the costs of replacing these essentials are more than we can manage alone.

I am writing this from Florida (we come home tomorrow the 23rd), as my siblings and I are staying with family. I am creating this in hopes of giving my mom some help to get our home back normal!!
