Mazz Cardone, of Respect Animals, is known as one of the most reliable dog walkers and animal care providers in the city of philadelphia, had their e-bike stolen at 3:25pm at the corner of 22nd and Kimball on 7/18/24. They were on a 20 minute dog walk with a client, and as they were finishing the visit, they saw it was gone. Unfortunately the security camera footage neighbors surrounding the theft were either not functioning or was too pixelated to rely on for a solid description of the thief.
They’ve been locking up to the same spot for the same clients twice a day for years. There has been on going construction across the street for a couple of years, and we hypothesize that one of the workers have been watching them leave the bike, and finally saw opportunity to use a grinder from the site to take it.
This bike as a birthday present to Mazz this past March. Mazz mentioned this was the nicest gift they've ever received and they use it all day every day for work.
Mazz needs our help to get back on the road with a reliable rig as this is a huge financial hit. While we remain hopeful and on the lookout for their custom Aventon Soltera 2, it isn't looking promising that they will ever get this important e-bike back.
They're genuinely heartbroken and could use some help getting back on the road and to taking the best care of all the pups of south philly.
Receipts can be shown from original purchase and any excess funds beyond $1,350 will be donated to Uncle Neil's Home -- a 501(c)(3) Farm Sanctuary and non-profit organization.
Any little bit helps and is beyond appreciated
