Help Mary recover and rebuild after Hurricane Helene

Greetings all.

My name is Mary Garner and I am a survivor of Hurricane Helene. My home and everything I own, however, did not make it. I lived in a tiny house in Fairview, NC on 8 idyllic acres until a landslide and flood took it all away. My entire neighborhood was one of the hardest hit by the hurricane. Our quaint little creek turned into a raging river with cars and houses floating down it. There are not enough words to describe the loss and heartache my community has been feeling for the past three months. I am a helper, and I rarely ask for help. But, I need help. There's still so much to do, so much devastation.

I lost my job when they closed the campus of the therapeutic boarding school I managed the farm on the week of the storm.

I was only able to get out just before the storm hit with my dog, my therapeutic mini pig, a backpack of clothes, and my car (which needs some repairs right now as well).

I was in the middle of creating a therapy garden on my property with a well-established wildflower field that was home to hundreds of monarchs on their migration route, trails to springs with ancient trees to hug and help heal your soul, a sweet creek to slip your toes in and meditate by. I wish to rebuild a healing sanctuary for all to enjoy.

Funds will be used to help rebuild my home, clear the land from downed trees and debris, daily costs of living, car repairs, and recreating a beautiful healing sanctuary for all to enjoy.
