Hello, My name is Marcel and it's taking a lot for me to do this but I'm in need of help.On July 8th, 2024 Hurricane Beryl hit Houston and while I was sitting in the living room, the family tree, a 300 plus year old cottonwood came fell on the house. The only thing that saved the house itself was the frame, which was the original oak frame when my grandmother bought the home. The damage was worse than expected. The entire house shifted and sunk in from the impact. We was fortunate that it did or the house would have been split.

Trying to maintain all the bills old and the new has become overwhelming. We received help from FEMA but not as much as expected. We have appealed for more help, it is not a certainty that they will. The house framing and siding are done but we still have major work to do on the house. The electrical system has to be replace because the breaker box was ripped off the house. Also insulation, sheetrock, flooring and roofing needs to be done. So we are asking for any donation to help with rebuilding the home and with the day to day expenses.
