Spende geschützt
For those who don’t know, George Trafton is a true legend of Malibu…a renowned guitarist from the cool ‘70s scene, a pro surfer, and the embodiment of everything that makes this place special.
Right now, he’s fighting for his life in the ICU. When the fires came, he refused to leave Big Rock, the beach he called home for most of his life. He stayed behind to protect his house and the priceless memorabilia of his father, the legendary George Trafton, a key figure in the founding of the NFL. But the fire took everything.
I was his neighbor for 26 years, and it’s devastating to see what’s happened, not just to him, but to the soul of Malibu itself. The good news is, he’s doing better, but he will come back to nothing. Everything we do now is to help him heal, rebuild, and return to the ocean he loved—where he paddled alongside dolphins and captured their beauty on film.
Help us, along side Kathleen Gozzi, a friend of his for over 40 years, give back to a man who has given so much to Malibu , the ocean , it’s sea animals and us all.
We’re praying for his recovery and for the iconic “Malibu vibes” that seem to have perished in the flames.
