Hi, I’m Kristy. I’m 46 and a mom, gramma, and a para teacher for special education. I love my family and my job, but I don’t love myself, and most of that stems from my teeth and all the pain I’ve had to deal with and all the ugliness it has caused. I work hard and try to earn money myself on social media and by working my job, but life is hard and expensive, so coming up with money to fix my teeth has been hard.

I went to 4 dentists, and I am not able to get dentures due to severe bone loss. So, implants are my only choice. About a year and a half ago, I tried to get a loan to get my implants done, which would’ve been $50,000. Unfortunately, I was not approved. I have very bad credit. My boyfriend tried to get a loan for me and was only able to get $16,000, so we used that $16,000 to get my top teeth extracted. Those were worse at that time. I got my bone graft done and my temporary top implants.

As of right now, a year and a half later, I’m still in my temporary implants. Those are made to only be in for about three months while your implant screws heal. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the money to continue the process of getting my permanent top teeth or to do anything to my bottom teeth. I only have five bottom teeth, which are all full of cavities and starting to rot out. I get infections after infections and toothache pain after toothache pain. It is very draining and very emotionally hard.

I still cannot eat much but soft stuff because my teeth don’t line up. My top temporary teeth, which aren’t even made to eat anything but soft food, don’t touch my back teeth because I have no back teeth, and the bottom teeth are very sensitive. So, it’s made it very hard to eat. Even when I sleep, it hurts because I close my mouth too tight, and there are no back teeth back there, and the temporary teeth are touching my sore bottom teeth in the front.

It’s been a long struggle, and I was able to come up with part of the money from an amazing donation, but I still am $15,000 short of the $23,000 I would need to completely finish my teeth. No more pain, completely done top and bottom. So, I’m gonna try to make this GoFundMe to see if anyone would love to donate. Any little bit helps so I can try to reach my goal.
