Julie is so full of light. She is outrageously funny, cunning, wise, giving, intuitive, loving, and beautiful. About 5 years ago, she got a partial tear in one of the tendons in her shoulder. The injury that caused this also impacted her neck and spine. While she is strong and always shows up for life, I can also see that she’s in pain every day. Due to suffering from mental and physical health issues, she is also in medical debt. As I’m sure many of you are experiencing, we make very little, and the cost of living is too much; slap health issues on top of that, and you’re drowning. She recently started her road to treatment for her pain, but before she could even get started, she discovered that her work falsely alleged that her treatment was covered. It is not. She wouldn’t have pursued treatment if she had known.

if Julie doesn’t get an MRI that’ll show the injection she needs, doesn’t have the injection itself, and therefore can’t get a safe home exercise plan for recovery, that partial tear could turn into a full tear; which requires surgery. And we don’t even know what’s officially wrong with her neck or spine yet.

Julie has a very difficult time asking for help, like so many of us, but she also knows that she can’t do this on her own. Julie’s quality of life is impacted daily by her chronic pain, as well as making sure the absolutely necessary bills are paid. And even that’s hard. The treatment that she has decided to abandon due to the cost amounts to about $2,500. With her current income, along with monthly necessities and bills, there is just no way she can pursue it. As previously mentioned, we know a lot of you are struggling too. Trust me when I say we are not expecting a $50 or $100 donation. It could literally be $5. We will see anything as an act of kindness.
