Restore Jamón's Joy: Fund His Knee Surgery

Hello! Our names are Dave and Paloma, and this GoFundMe is for our dog Jamón. Jamón is 6 and since we rescued him from the literal street 5 years ago he has grown into the best dog a person can ask for. He is gentle, sweet, obedient, protective of his family, playful, and respectful. Jamón also has a brother named Queso. Queso is 11 months old and basically a 60 lb wrecking ball with legs. He is also sweet, curious, learning to be obedient, and loves to play with his big bro. Sometimes Queso gets the zoomies and runs into Jamón at top speed. All it took was one collision into Jamón's knee, and now Jamón is out for the season with a torn ACL. A dog's knees aren't like a human's, and they can't really repair the ACL. Instead, they have to do a pretty invasive surgery to repair Jamón's knee so that he can go back to living his full life, going for walks, playing with his lil bro, going on hikes with mom and dad, and of course, playing with his girlfriend Mallory next door.

It absolutely kills us to have to be asking for help, to not be able to provide for our bubbie, but we have just had too many catastrophic things this year and the surgery will cost $6600. So here we are, asking our friends and family, and even you, hopefully kind stranger, to help us out so that we can get Jamón back to the quality of life that he deserves. :)

The $6600 is the total cost of his surgery at MedVet with Dr Maritado. It covers his over night stay after surgery, knee reconstruction, initial pain meds, anesthesia, and follow-up appointment in 6 weeks.
