On December 19, 2024, my first home caught fire. Because the cost of living is high, I bought a home in July 2022 in my hometown. I didn't include contents in my coverage to afford the home on a one-person budget. The insurance company said my home, which I love, will be completely gutted and rebuilt; this will take about nine months.

I currently have to find a new place to live with my adult daughter, and we no longer have any furniture for where we will eventually move.
