Restore Hope for Tory After Hurricane Loss

I am Darlene Berg. I live in Fosston, Minnesota. My son, Tory Blasus, a graduate of Fosston (MN) High School, confirmed in Kingo Church, and the son of Jerald and Darlene Berg, now lives in Treasure Island, Florida, a place that was devastated by Hurricane Helene. Tory lost everything due to the storm surge and backup of the sewer system. All he was able to save was his guitar and a couple of changes of clothes. The only help the residents of this island have received to this point from FEMA is $750 for a storage locker for whatever they may be able to save, and now FEMA says they are broke. He felt pretty lucky because his mom, Darlene, had a winter home not too far from where he lives, and her home just had minor damage, so he moved in there, but that security did not last long. On Sunday, he was asked to evacuate again because another extremely violent hurricane is expected to hit the area on Wednesday afternoon. We are starting this GoFundMe page in hopes that some of his friends and community members would be able to help Tory replace all his furniture, clothing, small appliances, dishes, bedding, and towels. What wasn't ruined by the ocean was destroyed by the sewage backup. Any help would be appreciated!

NOTE: Hurricane Milton will be hitting the southern part of Florida today sometime. Tory is relocating to his biological father's in Georgia.
