Hi Everyone. My name is Casara and I am speaking on behalf of my mother, Sheila and stepfather, Jason.
Last week, my mom and stepdad went through the most unexpected, heartbreaking, and damaging day of their lives, they lost their home to a fire. As you all know, they lived in the same little home for over 20 years in the heart of the bay. Although we didn't have much to our name, we grew up in that place we called home. Many siblings under one roof who shared so many memories. Memories of those who are still living and those who have passed into the great beyond. We had first birthday's there, graduations, BBQ's galore, holiday celebrations, karaoke parties, you name it. It was also a place where we raised our sweet little Penny the pug, who also passed away in that very home. Despite the space, my mom and stepdad never thought twice to extend open arms to family members and friends in need of a place to stay. That house was a home to anyone who stepped foot in the front door. It was a home full of love, laughter, and acceptance.
It is unfair to see this happen to my parents, or to anyone that has ever been affected by a house fire. They lost everything. Family photos, home videos, family heirlooms, essentials, everything! Things that can never ever be replaced. They did not deserve this. No one does.
So, I'm here today to ask for any kind of help or relief that would allow my parents to get back on their feet and start again. It doesn't have to be monetary or material, it could even be as small as a prayer. Any kind of support is appreciated.
Thank you for hearing me out today. God Bless.
