As many of you know, our parents' (Sandy and Les Lathery) house was devastatingly flooded with the recent storms. They have worked so hard to make this house their dream home; their small piece of God's Country. Both of them, as well as all us kids, are so incredibly sad that this piece of peace has been destroyed. They have only been in this home for about 5 years and rebuilt and restored it from the inside out. They just got their home where they wanted it, and then the storms hit, and the rain didn't stop, and the water outside continued to rise. Thankfully, they were able to evacuate via boat and canoe. The water rose so quickly they had no other choice. They are safe, and their many animals are safe, so for that, we are grateful, but we need help because no one prepares for Mother Nature to wreck your home, and they weren't prepared with flood insurance. They have been pillars in their community for many years, between doing Kinlee's Love for Laces, Giving Loving and Heartfelt Prom Dress Giveaway, working tirelessly to help the AA community keep thriving, helping with the recent flooding in North Carolina, and helping those that need a friend in times of despair. They are some of the most selfless human beings there are. The definition of giving the shirt off your back. We are asking if you can find it in your heart to help them now in their time of need, to give to them in the same way they have given to others countless times before and how they will continue to in the future. It would be much appreciated, and they would be so very grateful to help take the burden off their shoulders. If you can't donate anything, that's okay too; just please pray that they can slowly restore their home, electrical work, plumbing, and heating and air. We appreciate any and all help.
