I am the daughter, and I am starting this GoFundMe page for my family who have been unhoused since January 7th. The days have been very long, and the nights have been too short, but now we all need to take a breath and show some love.

Our house still stands, but our community has fallen. Several days ago, while eating dinner with my wife, there was an insistent knock on our front door. I opened it to my neighbor: anxious, frantic, concerned. "We've got to evacuate." "What?" I wasn't sure I had heard him. "There is no time." Before I could process it, he was gone. There was no time to think. I gathered my wife and headed to the car. We left our home. We left our belongings. We left our life. For days, we have slept in my daughter's studio apartment. Now with loving friends we are making the guest house tours. Everything we own is smoke damaged or beyond repair. Like so many others, we are in shock and disbelief that everything we had worked so hard for is unusable. We need so much. Supplies, daily necessities, dog food. All of this costs money. Without our home, A stable base life is uncertain I have never been a person in need. The needy have always come to me. But now I am the one that says, there but for the grace of God go I. Whatever you can do to help us as we rebuild would be appreciated. Help us fill in the cracks that others cannot. Whatever you can do will be appreciated. Thank you.
