We are Nicholi and Zierra, and we’re reaching out for help on behalf of our family in St. Ann, Jamaica, whose lives were turned upside down by Hurricane Melissa (2025). The storm brought devastating winds and flooding across the island, leaving many families without power, clean water, or safe shelter.

Our family’s homes and small business in St. Ann were severely damaged. Roofs were torn apart, flooding destroyed walls and floors, and most belongings were lost. Their local business — the main source of income for several family members — has been shut down due to loss of power and severe damage to essential equipment and supplies. Until electricity and repairs are restored, reopening isn’t possible.

Our loved ones are now doing their best to rebuild both their homes and livelihood. Without steady electricity or access to materials, daily survival has become a challenge. One of their most urgent needs is a generator, which will restore power for lighting, refrigeration, and communication — and allow them to begin repairs and restart the business that supports them and their community.

• Generator & fuel to restore electricity for the homes and business

• Home repair materials — roofing, plywood, nails, cement, and plumbing supplies

• Replacement tools and stock to help the small business reopen

• Essential household needs — beds, mattresses, clothing, and clean water

• Transportation and local labor to assist with cleanup and rebuilding
