Hello, my name is Amanda Marsh. I am a mother of 2 and registered nurse of 19 years living in Virginia, USA. I have been a Palestinian activist for 4 years and met my dear friend Mahmoud during this war that began October 7th, 2023. Mahmoud reached out to me to assist his family and himself as they have been displaced and have no source of income. He has become like family to me and I am here to ask that you please consider donating to Mahmoud and his family during this time of difficulty. Hello, I am Mahmoud Al-Absi, 35 years old, from Palestine. Gaza I have a family of 6 members with my mother who suffers from chronic diseases for which there is no treatment in Gaza. I worked as a space and interior designer before the war and worked as a chef.
I learned to make cakes, ice cream, and natural juices. I had shops as a point of sale and a factory for making cakes. I became a well-known chef in this field. I started my life from scratch until I began to support my family.
My mother and my elderly father are over 70 years old, after I prepared a beautiful home and a source of livelihood that does not lack anything, thanks to God. We lived beautiful days in our house with my mother and father, may God have mercy on him, who was killed by this occupation after we left our house under the threat of bombing our house over our heads if we did not leave it. My father refused to leave, but this occupation bombed the house above it, and my family and I were displaced towards the south after we were displaced several times. More than 10 times, we were displaced and my family and I escaped death
More than once due to bombing near places that the occupation considered safe places, but this occupation lies and kills the innocent children of our great people, but everything was gone in the blink of an eye. This occupation completely destroyed my house and shops and destroyed my future and the future of my young children. This war stole the smile on the face of My children, after he was in school, my eldest son Abdul Malik is 8 years old, my daughter Sama is 4 years old, and my daughter Misk is 2 years old. Their worries have become great. Their time is busy filling water and transporting it to the tent, and every step of our day requires...
To wait at the baker and fill water. My family needs the basic requirements of food, clothing, and shelter, and they cannot find them. Their life is on the dirt, and their life is difficult. It does not resemble the past in any way. It is as if I woke up from this dream to a bitter and difficult reality and a nightmare. My children are now in a worn-out tent made of fabric, suffering from everything: cold at night, heat during the day, and lack of food and clothing.
