Help For My Son After Tragic Injury
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jocelyn & I'm the mother of this handsome young man in the picture. He recently turned 15 years old on May 2. I am reaching out today as any concerned parent should. I am writing this today with a heavy heart but also with hope to ask for help for my son. He was brutally hit by a baseball on his left eye while playing baseball this weekend with his teammates. There was an altercation with the other team members and my son's team when my son was hit by a ball in the face. He wasn't even near the fight. A boy followed him and targeted him just because he was in the rival team. Now, sadly, my son is facing the consequences. The impact of the hit has affected his eyesight and caused internal bleeding in his left eye. Doctors suggest he needs eye surgery. He is not able to see, he has lost vision in his left eye completely. He is conscious of what is happening but very upset and heartbroken because he won't be able to see again. My son is a very great person, very humble, very smart, an awesome big brother, and a very great friend! He's a freshman in high school with a 3.5 GPA. My son loves sports, music, play video games, art, and loves to play the guitar, with a dream of one day being a businessman or a lawyer. Our son has big dreams & a very bright future waiting for him. Our son didn't deserve this. With this incident that happened, he's been very sad and disappointed because he thinks he is failing himself and our family. We have talked to him and reassured him that this wasn't his fault. He is not failing our family or himself. He thinks that he won't be able to do things like before or be able to drive his first car because of his eyesight.
Our son is battling for his life right now. We are afraid of him falling into depression because he feels that he will never get his vision back even with the surgery.
This fundraiser will help to assist with any medical bills and financial hardships that our family is experiencing right now. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support will mean the world to our family, whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing this page.
God bless you all!!! Please pray for our son! He needs all the prayers, love, and strength!!!
