Restore Hope for Jenny After Hurricane Helene

As many of you know, our town, Anna Maria Island, Florida, was devastated by the catastrophic Hurricane Helene. The island saw up to 6 feet of water, with some areas experiencing even more. Many homes and businesses have been completely destroyed. Parts of the island are still inaccessible, buried under sand and water.

Among those deeply affected is our dear friend Jenny, who lost everything. During the storm, she was trapped in her home, floating on a mattress as nearly 5 feet of water filled her house. It’s heartbreaking to see someone you love and care lose everything so suddenly and tragically.

Jenny moved to Florida from Michigan three years ago, and though she didn’t know anyone at first, she and I formed a strong friendship while working together at a salon. Now, in the wake of the hurricane, Jenny is left without a home, without a car, and with little more than the clothes on her back. Thankfully, she made it out safely with her cats, but she’s lost almost everything else.

I’m hoping to raise funds to help Jenny get back on her feet. The goal is to provide her with enough support to secure an apartment, replace her furniture, clothes, and essentials, and rebuild her life. Many of you have asked how you can help, and any donation would mean the world. Unfortunately, her rented home on the island will be sold, so she needs to start fresh.
