My name is Heather. I am 41 years old and for the last 2 to 3 years, I have been getting sick. New diagnoses, new doctors, and still no answers! I have filed for disability and am awaiting a decision. I live with my 75-year-old grandfather who is not in the best health. He gets a little disability check which only covers our lot rent and maybe the light bill. My mother, who is also disabled, receives an even smaller check which also goes to our household bills to make sure we can have a roof over these kids' heads. One way or another, we make sure they have what they need.

I'm sorry to say it's the bare minimum and I hate this! We are struggling really bad right now and I have never asked for help like this! It's embarrassing, to be honest! My transmission went out in my car a few weeks ago. Our floors in the house are soft and falling in. We have had to pull carpet up in two of the rooms and now we don't even have the money to fix the bad flooring and put a new piece of vinyl down. If anyone can find it in their hearts to help a multigenerational family who is in real need, it would be more appreciated than I can put into words!
