Help support Grange Hill, Jamaica After Devastating Hurricane
Hello, my name is Tiffany Miller-Reid. I was born and raised in Grange Hill, Westmoreland, Jamaica, and have proudly called Indiana my home for almost ten years. I have always shared the beauty of my island—the culture, food, music, and warmth of the people—with my community here in the U.S.
On October 28, 2025, a catastrophic Category 5 hurricane made landfall in Jamaica with winds up to 185 mph. I was in Jamaica during this storm, and the experience was terrifying and heartbreaking. Many families—including some of my own family members and close friends—lost their homes, personal belongings, and access to food, clean water, and electricity.
When I drove through my childhood neighborhoods in Grange Hill, I saw homes destroyed, schools and churches damaged, and people struggling to meet their most basic needs. Leaving Jamaica that day, I felt devastated, helpless, and overwhelmed with grief.
But when I returned to Syracuse, I was met with love, support, and people asking how they could help.
With your help, I will return to Grange Hill and surrounding communities to provide:
• Food and clean drinking water
• Hygiene and medical essentials
• Support and comfort for children, especially with Christmas approaching.
No amount is too small.
There is a Jamaican proverb that says:
“One one cocoa full basket.”
Small contributions, when combined, can create something powerful.
How You Can Help
Your donation will directly support families in Grange Hill who are struggling to rebuild their lives. If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign with others.

❤️ Every act of kindness makes a difference.
