I am Rev. Sharon Richter, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at 997 E. Walnut Street in Pasadena, CA. We host the Bad Weather Shelter for the city of Pasadena, we operate a Safe Parking program for people living in their vehicles, we operate one of the oldest food banks in the Los Angeles area, and we have outreach ministry to cognitively impaired adults. Four of Trinity's families, for whom I am their pastor, lost their homes and all their possessions in the Eaton Fire. Their insurance companies are assisting with housing, but they need funds for emergency purchases. One family left in pajamas and didn't even take a change of clothes. They all need clothes, the children lost all their Christmas presents, they lost computers, cars, pets, documents, photos, and all their records. We are helping them to the extent we can, but are seeking donations to just give them hope and get them back on their feet. It takes money even to order replacements of your birth certificate or other documents. Please help if you can.

The funds are being deposited into the Trinity Lutheran Church Good Shepherd fund, from which they are being dispersed by check, to ensure good records are kept, to the families who lost their homes in the fire. They are using the money to buy clothing, pay for document retrieval, and if they cannot get relief on them, also to pay bills and mortgages that are still due even though their homes have burned.
