Help the Pesuelo Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

On June 30, 2025, Cholo Pesuelo and his family lost their home in Pasig, Philippines to a tragic fire that swept through their compound. The home—painstakingly built and improved over more than 50 years by his grandparents, parents, and himself—was reduced to rubble and ashes.

Cholo is a devoted husband, a caring father of two, and the kind of friend who always shows up when others need help—even if he never asks for any himself.

He and his wife are now staying in an emergency shelter. Their two young children have been temporarily relocated to stay with relatives. The family is separated, displaced, and trying to rebuild their lives from scratch.

Why I'm Fundraising for Cholo:

I’ve had the privilege of working with Cholo for over 4½ years—and even after we both moved on from that job in early 2024, our friendship has remained strong.

If you’ve met Cholo, you know: his integrity, kindness, and quiet strength leave a lasting impression. He’s the one you can always count on. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Because GoFundMe isn’t available in the Philippines, Cholo is unable to create a campaign on his own. I’m organizing this fundraiser on his behalf, with 100% of all donations going directly to him and his family. I’ll be transferring the funds to Cholo securely using Wise (formerly TransferWise), to ensure the money reaches him quickly and without unnecessary fees.
