A Story of Hope, Courage, and the Power of Being Seen
There is a moment many families never expect.
It’s not the hospital visit.
It’s not the diagnosis.
It’s the day a child looks in the mirror and no longer recognizes themselves.
Cancer treatment can take so much from a child — hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, energy, and sometimes confidence. What’s left behind is often a brave smile hiding fear, sadness, and questions no child should have to ask.
Some children are teased at school.
Some stop wanting to take photos.
Some pull their hoodies tighter, hoping no one will notice.
And yet — they keep fighting.
At Saint Anthony’s Helping Hands, we believe children deserve more than survival. They deserve dignity, confidence, and moments of joy while they heal.
That belief is what created our mission.
Through restorative and confidence-building services, we help children feel like themselves again — reminding them that they are beautiful, strong, and worthy of love exactly as they are.
These services are not about appearance.
They are about identity.
About helping a child walk into a room with their head held higher.
About giving families a moment of relief — and children a moment of hope.
Funds raised through this campaign will provide restorative services that help children feel confident, supported, and hopeful throughout cancer treatment. Our goal is to reach children regardless of insurance or financial circumstance, because compassion should never depend on ability to pay.
Every donation — no matter the amount — becomes part of a child’s story of healing.
A story where they feel seen.
A story where they feel supported.
A story where hope still shines, even on the hardest days.
Thank you for standing with us.
Thank you for believing in these brave children.
Thank you for helping us remind them that they are never alone.
