A daughter, sister, auntie, wife, best friend, godmother, and long-time local community members, Carlene and Henry, who had just moved into their new home in historic Altadena, experienced an unimaginable tragedy when the devastating Eaton Fire swept through their area and destroyed everything they had worked so hard to build. Their new home, which was supposed to be the foundation of their future, was reduced to ashes, leaving them with nothing but the clothing they wore when ordered to evacuate. Oh and the vehicle they drove away in.

Just two months ago, after relocating from their condominium in Pasadena to what was to be their first dream home with high hopes for a fresh start, they now face the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. The emotional and financial toll of losing everything they had worked so hard to create is unimaginable and deeply saddening, but with your support, we can help them regain a sense of hope and stability.
