My name is Maxine Thompson, and I’m from Tangle River, Jamaica. Our community has been hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, and many of us are struggling to pick up the pieces. Homes have been destroyed, crops washed away, and families are left without food, clean water, or shelter. The damage is heartbreaking — but our spirit remains strong.
Tangle River is a small, close-knit community. We look out for each other, but this time, the destruction is more than we can handle on our own. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
The funds raised here will go directly toward helping families in Tangle River and surrounding areas who are suffering most. Your donations will be used to:
Provide emergency food, clean water, and temporary shelter
Help rebuild damaged homes and farms
Supply medical care and basic necessities
Support local recovery efforts so our community can get back on its feet
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your kindness will bring comfort, hope, and a chance to rebuild for the families who have lost everything.
Please share this campaign with others who may be able to help. Together, we can restore Tangle River and show that even in the darkest times, love and unity shine the brightest.
From our hearts to yours — thank you, and one love from Tangle River, Jamaica.
