My name is Shelby Johnson. My boyfriend, Herman Haas, has lived and raised his kids on the Guadalupe River in Centerpoint, Texas for about 25 years. His home was devastated by the influx of muddy river water due to the historic July 4th flooding event.

He lost all furnishings, appliances, and most keepsakes to the landfill. The heavy equipment that he used daily for work was submerged and needs repair. This means he will be out of work until all of this is done.

This is even a more emotional time for him as he just lost his 21 year-old son to suicide almost 2 years ago. His belongings were in cardboard boxes and did not fare well and had to be thrown away.

As he is very lucky to have survived, he doesn’t have the funds to pay for all of this in any immediate time. It would be so amazing for his friends and family to come together to help him rebuild his home, life, and his faith in humanity. ❤️
