Help a Mom of 4 Get Specialized Hearing Aids She Urgently Needs.

I’m raising $5,000 to help my close friend, a hardworking mother of four, afford specialized CROS (crossover) hearing aids that are medically necessary for her to safely work and function day to day.

She suffers from vestibular neuritis, which caused permanent nerve damage and scarring to her ears and eardrums. This has resulted in:

Complete hearing loss in her left ear

Only 53% hearing remaining in her right ear

Chronic vertigo, balance issues, and constant tinnitus

Because she is completely deaf in her left ear, standard hearing aids will not work. She requires CROS hearing aids, which are designed for single-sided deafness. These devices pick up sound from the deaf left side and wirelessly transmit it to the right ear, allowing her to hear her surroundings, stay oriented, and reduce balance-related issues.

Without these hearing aids:

Sounds from her left side go unheard

Balance and vertigo episodes worsen

Working safely becomes extremely difficult

Everyday tasks like driving, shopping, or caring for her kids become exhausting and unsafe

Despite all of this, she works two jobs to support her four children. Unfortunately, CROS hearing aids and their fittings are rarely covered by insurance, and the total cost is approximately $5,000, which is simply not possible for her family to afford on their own.

Professional fitting and programming

Follow-up adjustments required for balance and hearing support
