Restore Havaco Church After Flood

Donation protected
Havaco Community church was built in the early 1950’s by the community of Havaco. It has served Havaco and surrounding communities for over 75 years. There is a board of trustees made up of community members to see to the welfare and well being of the building, but its strength comes from the faithful members that attend there.
In July of 2024, the church and Paster Rhodeena Hatfield raised the funds through love offerings by the members to put new carpet in the sanctuary and new linoleum in the bathrooms along with new toilets. Then in Jan 2025, the church members voted to go ahead and put new carpet in the fellowship hall. Not 2 weeks after the new carpet was installed the flood on Feb 15, 2025 destroyed all of those carpets, the drums and the piano had water inside of it. The refrigerator and Sunday school rooms furnace and all the duct work in the basement and sanctuary floor received extensive damage. There was 34 inches water in the fellowship hall and slightly lower amount in the sanctuary. Several inches of mud was in the basement and mud covered the carpet and 18 pews we also in the flood water…. Please help our church to recover from this devastating flood, so that we can get back to worshipping and praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and being about our Father’s business. Anything will be a blessing to us. Thank you and God Bless you all.
