Restore First Peak

Once one of the world's greatest accidental surfing waves, First Peak was ruined when the north jetty was rehabilitated in the late 90's. Before this reconstruction, First Peak was a world-renowned surfing spot, and according to Surfer Magazine, Sebastian Inlet "groomed more champion surfers than perhaps any wave on the planet."

Over the years, the First Peak Project has organized an incredible team of partners who are all experts in various facets of wave science and engineering. We have been looking for ways to restore First Peak, and now we have one. It’s all about wave reflection. If we can restore a small amount of reflection, we can bring back First Peak.

This solution allows us to do something that is inexpensive, ultra-strong, eco-friendly, safe, sustainable, and adjustable. Let’s go for it!

Now, we need you to join our team. We must raise public demand for this project. In other words, the community has to want it. Strong public demand is the only way to get local, county and state governments to prioritize this project and make the dream of restoring First Peak come true.
