Meet Elijah — a powerhouse young saxophonist from a local Calloway County Kentucky school district whose passion for jazz and marching band drives him to put in the extra hours, hit every rehearsal, and always show up for his team.

Earlier this fall, during a marching band practice, a freak accident happened. A flag toss landed directly on Elijah’s tenor saxophone, damaging it beyond repair. Even in that tough moment, Elijah stayed focused and kept practicing with the same commitment and heart he brings to every rehearsal and performance.

Elijah has been recognized for his talent since middle school and continues to earn spots in advanced music programs. His goals this year include performing with his school’s marching band, the tri-state band, and the honors jazz band — opportunities that fuel his growth as a musician and leader.

To help keep his momentum going, we’re rallying support to cover the cost of a replacement tenor saxophone and associated program travel — about $3,000 total. This isn’t about sympathy — it’s about backing a young artist who works hard, lifts those around him, and has a bright future in music.
