In 2011, I met someone who would become so much more than a friend—she became my family. We met at Clark Atlanta University, and from day one, her heart has always overflowed with love, loyalty, and selflessness.

I’ll never forget the little things—how she would pick me up in her silver Pontiac just so I wouldn’t miss class, how she cooked for me, did my hair, and truly looked after me like the big sister I never had. To this day, my children call her “Auntie” and adore her just as deeply. She’s the kind of person you can always call, knowing she’ll show up—no questions asked.

She treats everyone with that same compassion, care, and unwavering support. And that’s what makes this moment so hard to witness.

Recently, while revisiting the place where her journey began, my sister and dear friend experienced a devastating loss—all of her camera equipment was stolen. This equipment wasn’t just gear—it was her livelihood, her passion, and the foundation of her growing business, Eleven13 Studio.

Eleven13 Studio has officially been up and running for a year now, and in that time, she’s poured her heart and talent into every shoot, every client, and every moment captured. She built her dream from the ground up—and she’s done it with excellence, integrity, and love.

Now it’s our turn to pour back into her.

This fundraiser is about more than replacing stolen items—it’s about restoring her ability to create, earn, and continue living out her purpose. I may not be able to do it all on my own, but her village is strong, and I know together we can help her get back on her feet and push Eleven13 Studio forward with even more power.
