Restore Detroit Threads Storefront

Back in February, a bad wind storm took down the awning and signage for one of Detroit’s most important and historical record shops, Detroit Threads. It is a small, privately owned store and isn’t in a position to update the much needed signage properly, especially due to the decrease in business due to Covid. 

Countless numbers of people have been through these doors and been directly effected by the music purchased here. It is a destination forartists and collectors around the world. It’s a labor of love for the owner, Mikel (who is not yet aware of this campaign to help him!)

As a long time patron of this store that directly changed my life, I’m putting together this campaign to help our good friend who is too humble to ask for it.
