Dennis Threatt is a dedicated organizer with Housing Justice Now. He has worked tirelessly to improve conditions for his fellow residents at Healy Towers (a major public housing complex in Winston-Salem). Because of Dennis and his co-leaders' work, residents have won major improvements at Healy, including substantial repairs, access to and refurnishing of common spaces, drug treatment for residents, and successfully stopping a wrongful eviction of a resident.
Dennis is also one of the kindest souls you'll meet. He's always checking on how others are doing and never bats an eye at helping those in need. He is the Chaplain of Healy and a dedicated member of his church. He is also a loving uncle to his nieces and grand uncle to his grand nieces and nephews.
It's now our turn to help Dennis. He is in need of funds for a major procedure to replace his upper teeth, which have reached a point where it is extremely difficult for him to chew food and eat. This has severely affected Dennis's quality of life. Unfortunately, it seems that Medicare/Medicaid will not cover the procedure. Dennis is on a limited, fixed income, so he needs support from his community.
Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated!
