As many of you know, this past July, my son Dalton had an injury to his eye. This has caused him to be blind in his right eye. This is going to require surgery and the production of an artificial iris for him to regain sight in that eye. The issue is that the iris is not going to be covered in any way by insurance. We have reached out to so many resources, but to no avail to any that can assist in the way we are needing. I am not the person to ask for help, and neither is he. We hate it, but this is a bizarre circumstance and this mom has run out of places to look. The artificial iris is going to cost $11,000, which must be paid for upfront before the iris will be manufactured. Any funds raised are going strictly to the cost of the iris.
