Our sweet girl Daisy has torn her right posterior ACL. I took her to the vet for this diagnosis on her 10th birthday, the day after she woke up from her afternoon nap, approaching me on only three legs. We couldn’t say how this happened. She’s been moving fine, although a little stiff getting up in the morning. We just thought it was no more than old age. I guess it was more.

Scott and I scheduled surgery for March 11, the earliest appointment available. We do have pet insurance, but it will not cover everything. We may also have to lose some work to be by her side during recovery. Life has its many struggles, money being near the top of most everyone’s list these days. Scott and I understand how difficult it is to be charitable when pantry items are priced like luxury goods. So our gratitude for anything given will be boundless.
