Help Dad Get His Smile—and His Life—Back
Cancer takes a lot. For our dad, it’s taken more than its fair share—his health, his energy, and even his ability to enjoy a good meal. Now, it’s threatening to take his smile.
After a tough battle with throat cancer and rounds of radiation, Dad’s teeth have been left brittle and damaged. He’s already lost two, and the rest are on borrowed time. At his last emergency dental visit, the news was blunt: all remaining teeth need to be pulled, and he’ll need full dentures—top and bottom. The cost? $6,000. If we focus just on the bottom, where the pain and swelling are worst, it’s still $4,500.
This isn’t just about looks. The missing teeth make every bite painful. Swelling and infection are constant threats. Food—one of life’s simple pleasures, and one of Dad’s greatest joys—has become a daily struggle. Radiation already stole most of his sense of taste; now he’s fighting just to eat in comfort.
Time isn’t on our side. The dentist won’t start work until payment is made, and Medicaid won’t cover the procedures. Every day we wait is another day Dad spends in pain.
If you know our dad, you know he’s tough. He’s faced cancer head-on. He’s still caring for Mom through her own health battles, even when he’s not feeling his best. But this is one fight he can’t win alone.
We’re asking for your help to raise $6,000 for the full dental work—or at least $4,500 to address the most urgent needs. Your donation will help ease his pain, restore his confidence, and maybe, just maybe, let him enjoy a good meal again.
Every bit helps. Thank you for helping us give Dad his smile—and his quality of life—back.
From all of us, with gratitude.
