Hey, my name is Sean and I've got a friend I would like to tell you about. Cody is a 34 year old Lunenburg county dude. Chances are if you've had anything to do with Cars, you know Cody. Quiet, calm, collected Cody.
I promise you don't know this man like I do, so when I tell you it breaks every part of my being to see him struggling like he is right now.. Just know that is still an understatement. I could share his medical info, diagnosis, prognosis. Id rather tell you about his last few months.
He was diagnosed with Kidney Failure thanks to Type 1 Diabetes.. A whole mess of complications, failed treatments and 6 days a week of Dialysis. SIX DAYS A WEEK.. For the first few months he lived in his truck, trying to work and provide the basics.. EI has now ran out, he is unable to return to work and while we wait for Financial support we find we more difficult days. Days that Cody isn't sure how he will get to treatment, appointments scattered across several facilities. Not to mention keeping his diet rolling, bills paid and the simple relief of not stressing about money while his body is attempting to quit on him.
Cody is a responsible, hard working guy. He doesn't complain. (He didn't complain in the hospital. He didn't complain when his blood pressure got so high I could see the pressure in his face. He didn't complain when it dropped so low he passed out and hit the floor of the hospital.) He doesn't ask anyone for anything extra. Not the nurses, not his friends, not his family. No one. The only reason I am here is because I told him to f*ck off and accept the help.
Let's restore some sense of hope for this guy.. he f*cking deserves it.
The money will be used to provide a proper diet during his recovery , fuel to get to his many appointments and household bills while we get him on his feet.
