Hello, my name is Jack. I have decided to set aside my pride and appeal to the generosity of others. It is my hope that a few dollars will not negatively impact you individually, but collectively it can change a life.

My wife Betsy began her cancer battle two years ago. It was stage four cervical cancer. Treatment included nine rounds of chemotherapy, and she did indeed ring the bell. A recent PET scan showed a spot on her liver that was treated with five radiation treatments. We are now on hold until the next scan. You can imagine the financial burden as Medicare covers only 80%.

That, however, is not why I am reaching out. As a side effect of the harsh chemo drugs, Betsy has developed severe neuropathy in her feet. Imagine total numbness from the ankles down. After trying drugs and various ineffective treatments, we have found a neuropathy specialist offering treatment that has a 90% chance of regenerating the nerves and restoring her mobility. Being tied to a wheelchair is no way to go through daily life. Of course, it is not covered by Medicare and is very expensive.

If you know Betsy, you can understand why I will do anything I can to help her. I'm doing gig work (deliveries) when I can and am selling my collectibles to bolster our income.
