Restore Bethel Baptist Church After Vandalism

Bethel Baptist church has been serving the st. johns community in Portland oregon since 1948. just this past weekend the deacons went in sunday morning to get ready for their church service to find the church destroyed, vandalized by chemical fire extinguishers set off in every single room. the vandals broke in by busting out the basement windows. they went ot the very top floor and seemed to systematically work their way out leaving no foot prints. the fire departement and local autorities say they will have to hire a special mitigation company to do the clean up beacue of the reapiratory hazard that the chemical fire extinguisher powder poses to them. the powder was so thick everywhere that walking through the building stirred up a good dust cloud. I was baptized in this church just two years ago and I am exstremely devestaded to see what has been done to our community place of worship. the bibles and hymnals covered in a thick layer of powder that pictures dont do justice.
