Restore Kensington's beloved Duck Mural
Donation protected
Kensington’s favourite ducks have brought smiles to the faces of many locals who walk past their McConnell Street corner -- especially during our precious one hour walks in isolation.
But unfortunately, a few days ago, the mural has been defaced and the Heesco mural is no longer intact. Many local residents have expressed their sadness that this artwork funded by the owner has been vandalised.
That's why we're asking locals and supporters of public art to chip in and fund the highly talented Heesco to restore the ducks to their former quacky glory.
All donations will pay for Heesco’s time and equipment. They will also allow for a protective coating to be applied making the mural easier to maintain with any excess funds will be put toward future arts projects for the Kensington community to share and enjoy.
Thank you for your contribution and community spirit.
Target: $2,600 by 7 September:
* $2,000 artist payment (3 visits)
* $600 equipment and protective layer
* $100 fundraising fees
