Restore Anthony's Independence and Hope
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Anthony, and I’m reaching out for help during a difficult chapter of my life. In May 2024, I proudly earned my master’s degree, followed by a graduate certificate in August. I was excited to begin my career in the field I had studied so hard for, full of hope for the future. But just a few months later, in October, the engine in my car failed and everything changed.
Without reliable transportation, I had to leave a higher-paying job in another city. That one setback led to a $4/hour pay cut, the loss of my independence, and a significant financial and emotional toll. Since then, I’ve been struggling to stay afloat.
Medical professionals believe the stress from this situation has worsened my physical and mental health. It feels like everything I’ve been going through can be traced back to losing that car. Now, I have the chance to purchase a dependable used vehicle but, I need help to make it happen.
I’m trying to raise $600 to cover:
Title & Registration: $340
Insurance: $220
***$625 after GoFundMe fees***
This car would allow me to:
Return to better-paying job opportunities Take on a second job
Rebuild my financial stability and independence
I’m currently working hard at $10/hour, but with today’s cost of living, there’s simply no way to recover from this setback alone.
How You Can Help:
Even the smallest donation makes a big difference. Here’s how quickly this goal can be reached with community support:
100 people giving $6
60 people giving $10
30 people giving $20
12 people giving $50
6 people giving $100
Any amount truly helps. If you’re unable to give, sharing my story means just as much. Every share increases the chance of reaching someone who can help.
Any extra funds raised will go toward:
Car-related costs (payments, (TBD) insurance, maintenance)
Household essentials and groceries ($300)
Rent ($870), electric ($234), and other vital bills
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. If you have any questions, I’d be more than happy to talk. Your kindness, whether through a donation or a share, means more than I can express.
With deep gratitude,
Anthony
