Hello, my name is Nicole Sanchez. I'm creating this GoFundMe for my boyfriend, Chris, and his family.

On July 27, 2023, Chris and his family suffered two tragic losses. Due to an AC malfunction, their apartment caught on fire while everyone was at work, and unfortunately, the fire spread quickly throughout the home and took most of everything. The most important of all being the family's two dogs - Cookie (15-year-old Maltese) and Pita (9-year-old Bully). Words cannot express the grief that is being felt right now.

This tragedy has been extremely difficult for everyone in the family. Only some of the family's belongings were salvageable; however, Chris' belongings were utterly destroyed. If you know Chris personally, you know he has a massive affinity for collecting keyboards, keycaps, shoes, and figurines. Collecting and building keyboards quickly became a special interest of his and a way to relieve stress.

The fire also ruined some of his mother and sister's valuables. The fire damaged his sister's shoes, some furniture, and many electronics necessary for accessing online school. His mother has a small business and stored much of her products and materials at home. The fire took all of it. She has invested so many hours and so much labor into her designs, and for all of her work to be destroyed is heartbreaking.

As of now, I am asking for $10,000 to relieve the family from the financial burden of covering the cost of cremation for the family pets and their urns, shelter, replacing laptops and tablets to access school and work, replacing furniture and additional electronics, and gathering necessities for everyone in the family. No amount of money will ever replace their babies, Cookie and Pita.
