Restore and Protect Component Coffee in Tower District

Hello. My name is Kelly and my husband is one of the co-owners of Component Coffee, located in the Central Valley of California. We are a locally owned coffee shop that strives to bring the community together and provide excellent experiences to everyone who comes through our door. We have an amazing team of dedicated employees and are grateful to be a part of the communities we serve.

Sadly, on the morning of June 8th, our beloved shop in Tower District was severely vandalized. Breaking a total of 10 windows, 6 large window panels, and a door as someone tore up our patio bricks to throw at our shop and, unfortunately, neighbors at Tower Yoga studio as well.

This ask is to help generate funds for repairs and preventative measures to mitigate future break-ins (no, we aren’t putting bars up, but we need funds for creative solutions to better protect these lovely windows). We also need a new patio now, along with all the new windows, and to fix or replace many items damaged by the vandalism (still being assessed). NOT ONLY THAT, but being forced to close on a busy weekend means we have lost income, product and the ability to employ our staff while the cleaning and repairs happen today.

We are resilient and we aren’t afraid. We plan to be here a while to keep loving this community and want to keep serving up delicious food and drink to everyone who comes through our Tower District doors!

This community is amazing and we already feel loved by the support we have had today as we woke up to this news.
