I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Amanda, whose home was severely flooded this week. Overnight, what was once her safe and cozy space became filled with water and damage that no one should ever have to face.

Amanda has always been the kind of person who shows up for others — the first to offer help, lend a hand, or open her door to someone in need. Now, she’s the one who needs a little help from all of us.

The flood destroyed most of her home downstairs. The water damage has made her home unsafe to stay in, and she’s currently trying to figure out temporary housing while starting the long road of cleanup and repairs. Unfortunately, insurance is not covering much, and the out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming.

We’re raising funds to help Amanda cover:

• Emergency housing and living expenses

• Cleanup and repair costs

• Replacement of essential items (clothes, furniture, appliances)

• Any other unexpected needs as she rebuilds her home and her life
