Allaire State Park has been facing a serious challenge — many of its trees are dying due to a combination of factors. Storms in the past such as super storm sandy have caused many trees to be uprooted or be damaged. Diseases have taken a heavy toll, and invasive species like the emerald ash borer, spotted lanternfly, and spongy moth have caused further destruction. The overpopulation of deer has caused then to start eating and scratching there antlers on trees trying to grow, stunting conservation efforts. As a result, countless trees have been lost, and the park is working hard to replace them.
In addition, the park’s picnic tables, enjoyed by visitors for decades, have become worn, weathered, and in need of replacement. By supporting this campaign, you’ll help fund the planting of new trees and the restoration of picnic areas, ensuring that Allaire State Park remains a beautiful, welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.
Your contribution will help preserve the park’s natural beauty and provide a better experience for future visitors. Every donation makes a difference!
