My name is Diamond Young I am the granddaughter and best friend of Alice Allen. She is my rock and the backbone of our whole family. She raised me after being taking from my parents when I was 15 and now she helps with her great grandchildren, she shows up to soccer games, dance recitals and karate tournaments she picks them up from school so my husband and I can work. She is our lifeline and the reason my children can do everything they do. She has buried two sons and now---
On April 25,2025 at around 9:30a.m I got a call that my grandmothers house was on fire. Nana was displaced after a tragic house fire broke out in a back bedroom while she was grocery shopping. A neighbor thankfully called 911 and the fire was contained to the room but the room was a total loss and the home was covered with smoke and ash. This house wasn’t just four walls for us it was where she was raised, where she raised her own children, and later where she helped raise her grandchildren that she took in when they 15 & 13. It's filled with decades of memories, love, and family history.
Thankfully, Nana is safe, but she’s facing the overwhelming task of basically starting over. The home can be saved but it's going to take a lot of work and repairs.
We are asking for your support to help her rebuild her lifelong home, replace essential belongings, and cover the many unexpected costs ahead. Any donation, no matter how small, will mean the world to her and to all of us who love her so much.
Please share this page and keep Nana in your prayers. Thank you for helping us show her that she’s not alone during this heartbreaking time.
With love,
Her grandchildren.
