Friends, family ,and generous souls, My mom and her emotional support dog need your help! Alibi, our 7 year old family Pomeranian has suddenly been attacked by diabetic cataracts affecting both of her eyes and causing blindness. 100% coverage in one eye and nearly covered in her second. This came about almost overnight. The only cure is surgery. This surgery is called Phacoemulsification and can only be done by a veterinary ophthalmologist. Alibi was diagnosed this past summer with diabetes, the initial diagnosis and treatment were costly but handled and she has been doing well, until now. The surgeon says that she is a prime candidate for successful surgery to correct her vision. Normally, my mom never asks for assistance and would not do this on her own, but I know she and her husband need it this time. My mom has had several medical concerns this past year as well, having had multiple procedures completed this year along with tests that have financially devastated her and her husband's finances this year.
