Restoration of multiple aircraft for new museum!

Tax deductible
You can make a difference by donating today to Australian Aircraft Restoration Group.
We are a large volunteer Museum based at Moorbbin Airport in Victoria, Australia. Our collection houses the most complete collection of Australian Made Aircraft, as well as one of the biggest archives in the Southern Hemisphere. In addition we own some of the oldest and most complete surviving examples of aircraft types in the world.
But we need your help!
The Museum has just been granted a new lease on land over the road from the existing facility. This will double our size and most importantly - it means all our aircraft will finally be undercover for the first time in the Museum's history.
We need to do urgent works on these aircraft though. Being volunteer based, we rely on the goodwill of others. At the moment we are working on securing funding for the new buildings which will be in the vicinity of $7-8million AUD, but our estimates on the works needed on the aircraft are sitting around $600,000.
That's why we are here, asking for your help to preserve these amazing aircraft for future generations.
Aircraft in the project include:
Vickers Viscount - Ex TAA, Ex Air Cubana - formerly one of the personal transports of Fidel Castro!
Bristol Freighter - the large aircraft with the open mouth front to allow cars to drive in for transport.
Aerospatiale Dauphin II - The very first Victoria Police Helicopter, used to rescue civilians from the Ash Wednesday Bushfires in 1983 and the Sydney to Hobart yacht race disaster in 1998, among many others.
DC-3 - the ninth oldest in the world. Currently being returned to original ANA finish
CAC Ceres - Australian made cropduster, using previous WW2 CAC Wirraway as a starting point
DeHavilland Heron Prototype - Different from the production model in that it had a fixed undercarriage
CAC Wackett Trainer - one of only three or four left, and probably the most complete. Difficult restoration as a lot of wood involved.

It's a big target but we know and believe there are many of you out there that would be willing to help us achieve these goals. Our aim is to preserve history for the future, and in building our Community Heritage Precinct, we will have something completely unique not just in Melbourne, but Australia.

Any donation over the amount of $40 automatically gives you an Associate Membership for 12 months to the Museum, which gives you free entry etc.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please share everywhere!
