We have made tremendous progress! Thanks to all our well wishers and funding supporters. We have a few more details to address inside. Thanks again as we strive to reach our goal. My name is Leola Jones,R.PH.  I am retired and former owner of M&R Prescription Center at 1959 East 71st Street in Chicago,Illinois. I passed a legacy and Black owned business to my daughter-in-law, Pamela Jones,PharmD and my son, Malik Jones, Pharm. Rep.  We have served the South Shore and greater community for over 40 years. The pharmacy itself has been located there since World War II-1946 that’s 74 years!  We have preserved many medications, artifacts and cabinetry from that time period. We take tremendous pride in our efforts to assure our patients medical care and good outcomes.  However, our efforts have been set back due to the recent out breaks of violence in our city.  With sadness, the pharmacy was looted and vandalized 2 times during the uproar.  We have come to realize that we have to replace the entire front end of the store.  I am asking hopefully for funds in the amount of $15,000.00 to help in this endeavor.  All monies received are greatly appreciated and we remain “Dedicated to the Practice of Pharmacy”
