Across the Divide for RG!!

Tax deductible
In July 2017, 2 men of incredible physical strength, intestinal fortitude, and with a love of dehydrated meals will be testing their cycling skills as they traverse 550 miles of Rocky Mountain terrain.  Starting in Colorado, they will ride along the Great Divide until they reach their destination in New Mexico.

Are they doing it for the pain, the glory, or the pictures? NO! They ride for the glory of God and to raise awareness and funds for the Ugandan orphans at Restoration Gateway!  Every turn of the pedal and re-inflated tire means another child has a home.  Every blister translates into a computer.  Worn-out Socks and stained shirts discarded at the end of the trip mean a chicken house that provides meat and eggs for the campus.  While we in the U.S. have the luxury of humor to describe the endeavor these men will be attempting, the simple truth is they are using their God-given gifts and passions to bring light into the darkness in Northern Uganda at Restoration Gateway.

Join Bob Beck, and Shawn Tresselt as they raise money for the women and children at Restoration Gateway.  Every penny raised will be given to Restoration Gateway! Let their pain be Restoration Gateway’s gain!  It’s what they want.

Hopes and Dreams:

As a Christian and lover of the outdoors that the Lord created, I have always dreamed of an opportunity to do something that I love and combine it with raising money for a Godly purpose. I chose Restoration Gateway as the purpose after having been a contributor to this cause for 2 years now. Our dog, Teddy, was even acquired through a 100% contribution to RG. My pray is that this adventure will not only provide personal growth in experience and spirituality but that it will also be able to further the cause of RG serving the needs of the children and people of Northern Uganda.

Hopes and Dreams:

With so much tragedy and suffering in the world today, it is great to see organizations like Restoration Gateway making a difference in people’s lives. My wife and I realize that we are very lucky to have been born where there is stability, a strong family support system, healthy food options, a clean environment, great medical care, superb schools and where growth opportunities abound. To ask someone to be a productive member of society with just one of these categories missing or neglected creates an extremely difficult journey. My hope is that our 550 mile bikepacking journey across Colorado helps Restoration Gateway raise the funds it needs to continue its great work in Northern Uganda.
